About

Peter Kilner is an engineering and product leader with more than a decade of experience building and delivering complex enterprise software.

His career has spanned hands-on software engineering, technical leadership, product ownership, and multi-team program execution. At Dell Technologies, he worked on PowerScale, a large-scale distributed storage platform, leading initiatives across diagnostics, telemetry, monitoring, remote connectivity, system health, and supportability. He has led global engineering teams, coordinated complex cross-functional programs, developed new engineering processes, and delivered software initiatives with measurable customer and business impact.

More recently, his work has focused on how AI changes software engineering itself: how development practices should evolve when implementation becomes dramatically faster, how teams can use AI without sacrificing engineering rigor, and where human judgment becomes more important rather than less.

His current projects and writing explore AI-assisted engineering, spec-driven development, human review, engineering artifacts, software architecture, and the systems and practices required to turn rapidly generated work into dependable software.
